Flooding in some villages in Hinthada Township

It is reported that flooding occurred in some villages in Hinthada Township on August 3rd, as the Ngwun Dam near mile 25 furlong 3 of the Ngwun Dam in Lemmyaena Township collapsed in its sandy foundation, causing water to flow through and overtop the low-lying dam. It is said that houses and farmlands in some village clusters within Hinthada Township have been submerged by about 3 feet of water. It is reported that about 3 feet of water has entered some villages in Hinthada Township, including Le-u-chu Village, Shan-su Village, Le-gyi Village, Chaung-lein Village, Thoun-su Village, Sai-pyun Village, Le-gyi-gone Village, and Lek-khone Village. In addition, it is reported that a small amount of water is also overflowing onto the road from Talotaw to Lemmyaena. It is reported that there have been no injuries to people or animals, nor any damage to houses due to the flooding.
