Major Rovi Jardenil, Tupi police chief, identified the victim as Thoks Andalinog, a member of the Provincial Security Unit assigned at the Capitol’s exit gate. Initial police investigation showed that at around 5:45 a.m., Andalinog was riding his motorcycle in Sitio Atbangan, Barangay Tubeng, when an unidentified gunman, believed to have been waiting for the victim, suddenly opened fire at him. The victim sustained gunshot wounds and died instantly while the suspect fled toward an unknown direction.
