Cambodia: Sihanoukville Provincial Government's Continued Support for Border Intervention Unit 128 Praised

Major General Miech Samut, Commander of Intervention Brigade 128 stationed in the Preah Vihear temple area, has expressed his gratitude to the Sihanoukville Provincial Administration and its delegation for their consistent attention and concern for the brigade. The provincial government has previously provided donations of food, supplies, medicine, and cash to Brigade 128. Specifically, on August 31, 2026, a delegation led by Mr. Mang Sineath, Governor of Sihanoukville Province, accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, delivered aid from Madam Bun Sangly and Mr. Lin Kree to the heroic soldiers of Intervention Brigade 128, Direction Preah Vihear Temple. Major General Miech Samut stated that over the past year, the provincial governor has led delegations or sent provincial representatives to deliver aid to Intervention Brigade 128 on seven occasions. The first delivery was on November 5, 2025, with 10 million Riel in cash. Subsequent deliveries included various food items and cash on December 20, 2025; supplies, medicine, and 24 types of food items on April 28, 2026; food items on June 2, 2026; food items on July 18, 2026; and food items again on August 16, 2026. The seventh delivery on August 31, 2026, consisted of 15 types of food items and cash donated by Madam Bun Sangly and Mr. Lin Kree. On behalf of the commanders, deputy commanders, officers, and soldiers, Major General Miech Samut extended his thanks to Governor Mang Sineath, the provincial delegation, civil servants, armed forces, monks, and the citizens of Sihanoukville Province for their collective efforts in gathering and delivering food, medicine, supplies, and cash to Brigade 128.
