Dak Lak Durian Festival Aims to Attract 300,000 Visitors

The Central Highlands province of Dak Lak is set to host the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026, an event aimed at promoting the region's durian brand, fostering sustainable industry development, and showcasing its cultural and tourism potential. Organizers anticipate attracting approximately 300,000 visitors. The festival's opening ceremony is scheduled for August 15 at March 10 Square in Buon Ma Thuot City. Key activities will include a parade featuring around 500 pickup trucks promoting durian, an exhibition with approximately 400 booths, an online market for durian and OCOP (One Commune One Product) items, and a forum on building a sustainable durian ecosystem. Attendees can also indulge in durian-themed culinary events, including an attempt to set a record for the most durian-based dishes with 102 varieties. Orchard tours and tastings, art exhibitions, sports events, auctions, and cultural performances are also part of the program. The festival will conclude with a special art program at Phu Yen Square in Tuy Hoa City.
