Cambodia Ministry of Education Bans Leakage of High School Exam Materials

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport in Cambodia has issued a directive strictly prohibiting the dissemination of high school examination materials before the announcement of results. This measure is aimed at ensuring the fairness, transparency, and credibility of the Grade 12 national examination (Bak Doep), scheduled for August 10th. The announcement targets all candidates, educational staff, examination proctors, committee members at all levels, and the general public. It explicitly forbids the photography, copying, online posting, distribution, or any form of public disclosure of examination questions, marking schemes, candidate answer sheets, and score compilation sheets (MCS) during the examination period, the marking process, and until the official results are released. The Ministry emphasized that the premature circulation of these materials undermines the confidentiality of the examination and public trust in the process. Any individual or entity found to be in violation of this prohibition will be held legally accountable under existing laws and regulations. Depending on the severity of the offense, disciplinary or legal actions may be taken. The Ministry urges all stakeholders to strictly adhere to this directive and to act responsibly to uphold the integrity and credibility of the Grade 12 national examination. Source: CEN Cambodia
