Vietnam to Boost School Health Program Until 2035

The Vietnamese government has approved a school health program for the period 2026-2035, aiming to further improve the quality of health protection, care, and management for children, students, and university students in educational institutions nationwide. This program, approved under Prime Minister's Decision No. 973/QĐ-TTg, emphasizes the promotion of student health. Key objectives include enhancing the quality of school health services, strengthening student health management, and building a safe and healthy learning environment. Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son highlighted the importance of genuinely improving educational quality and building a system for real learning and real examinations. The establishment of a safe and healthy learning environment through school counseling activities is also a crucial pillar of this program. In recent years, alongside economic growth, public health awareness in Vietnam has been rising. The health of the next generation is recognized as a critical factor for the nation's future, leading the government to actively promote health enhancement measures within the education sector.
