Long Thanh Airport Connectivity Projects Prioritized

Dong Nai Province in south-central Vietnam is prioritizing resource allocation for connectivity projects around the under-construction Long Thanh International Airport to enhance access. This initiative aims to improve logistics efficiency and stimulate regional economic activity once the airport becomes operational. During a meeting with the Land Development Center on September 15, Dong Nai Provincial Party Deputy Secretary Vo Tan Duc instructed the center, along with relevant departments and local authorities, to expedite land clearance for key projects. The focus will be on concentrating resources for the development of major transportation routes connecting Long Thanh Airport with industrial zones and seaports, with the expectation of significant economic spillover effects. Currently, several road projects are underway in the vicinity of Long Thanh Airport to improve its accessibility. The early completion of these projects is crucial for maximizing the airport's role as a logistics hub within Vietnam's economic growth strategy. Under its one-party system, Vietnam has prioritized economic development and is heavily investing in infrastructure. Large-scale projects like Long Thanh Airport are vital for attracting foreign investment and boosting trade. While deepening economic ties with China, Vietnam pursues a foreign policy that balances geopolitical considerations, and infrastructure development forms part of this strategy.
