Cambodia held a ceremony in Phnom Penh to honor exemplary public service institutions in the education and health sectors. The event was presided over by Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many, who is also the Minister of Public Service, representing Prime Minister Hun Manet. During the ceremony, Yok Bunna, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Service and Standing Vice-Chairman of the National Committee for the Evaluation of Public Service Institutions, presented a report on the evaluation and recognition of exemplary public service institutions for 2025. The committee, upholding transparency and high responsibility, conducted a rigorous evaluation and selection process to identify outstanding institutions in education (10 secondary schools, 10 primary schools) and health (10 health centers). The official announcement and awarding of prizes to the selected institutions will take place after the draft sub-decree is approved by the government. This initiative marks the second phase of the program, following its initial implementation in 2023. The ceremony was attended by approximately 2,000 participants, including Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, and Chheang Ra, Minister of Health, along with senior officials from relevant ministries, provincial governors, heads of provincial departments of public service, education, and health, as well as school principals and health center chiefs nationwide. This initiative is part of the government's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of public services and enhance service delivery to citizens.
