Cambodia Focuses on Automotive Wiring Harness Industry Development, Government and Businesses Strengthen Cooperation

The Cambodian government continues to facilitate coordination among all stakeholders to ensure the sustained development and enhanced investment environment of the automotive wiring harness industry. On the morning of August 4, 2026, H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), led a working meeting to discuss the "Progress of Investment in the Automotive Wiring Harness Manufacturing Sector in Cambodia." The meeting was attended by CDC leadership, representatives from relevant ministries and government institutions, as well as senior leaders from automotive wiring harness manufacturing companies operating in Cambodia and several technical officials. The meeting proceeded smoothly, focusing on key agenda items and strategic objectives. These included reviewing the overall progress of the automotive wiring harness sector in Cambodia, receiving concise reports on current production activities and general business operations from each company representative, and hearing various opinions and requests from company representatives aimed at making business operations in this sector more efficient and competitive. The assembly listened attentively and engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges of views between representatives of ministries, government institutions, and the private sector, aiming to find common mechanisms that respond to needs in a timely manner. On this occasion, H.E. the Deputy Prime Minister, on behalf of the Cambodian government, reaffirmed the government's strong commitment to continuously support and facilitate all relevant parties to ensure that investments in automotive wiring harness manufacturing maintain continuous progress. He also pledged to further foster a favorable environment to encourage and incentivize additional investment in the future. He highlighted the importance of this sector in actively contributing to the transformation of Cambodia's industrial structure from labor-intensive to one based on skills and modern technology. Concurrently, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol also instructed all relevant parties to continue working closely with the private sector in monitoring and responding to all requests raised during the meeting in a timely and highly effective manner, thereby enhancing Cambodia's competitiveness in the region and globally. As a result, representatives from all automotive wiring harness manufacturing companies expressed their profound gratitude to H.E. the Deputy Prime Minister, the CDC leadership, and all relevant ministries and institutions for opening a direct, friendly discussion forum with a high spirit of cooperation.
