Cambodian NA President Pays Respects in Vietnam, Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Ties
Cambodian National Assembly President Khuon Sodary visited Vietnam, laying wreaths at memorials for Vietnamese soldiers and Ho Chi Minh. She later met with the Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas like trade, investment, and tourism.
On the morning of July 28, 2026, during an official and friendly visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Samdech Mahathipadei Khuon Sodary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and a high-level delegation from the Cambodian Parliament laid wreaths to honor the fallen soldiers of the Vietnamese People's Army and the late President Ho Chi Minh at memorial monuments in Hanoi. Following this, the high-level delegation of the Cambodian Parliament will travel to the Vietnamese National Assembly building. There, His Excellency Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, will host an official welcoming ceremony for the Cambodian parliamentary delegation. Subsequently, the leaders of the parliaments of both countries will hold bilateral discussions to strengthen and expand parliamentary cooperation. They will also promote general relations with a focus on the interests of the citizens of both nations, including in sectors such as trade, investment, tourism, education, culture, and health, aiming to elevate the common good for the people of both countries.
