Cambodia Announces 15 University Scholarships for Study in Laos
The Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has announced 15 undergraduate scholarship opportunities for study in Laos. Fields include environment, economics, and IT, with exams scheduled for September 20, 2026. This initiative stems from an educational cooperation agreement between the two nations.
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport announced on the afternoon of July 28, 2026, the offering of 15 undergraduate scholarships for students to pursue studies in Laos for the 2026-2027 academic year. According to the Ministry, the available fields of study include Environment, Economics-Commerce, Information Technology, Architecture, Forest Management, Water Resources Management and Meteorology, and Hotel and Tourism. Eligibility criteria require candidates to be Cambodian nationals, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be no older than 35 years as of October 2026, and be in good physical and mental health. The scholarship examination is scheduled for September 20, 2026. The examination centers will be announced later. The subjects for the exam will be General Knowledge and Mathematics, each lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes. Applications will be accepted from the date of this announcement until September 14, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Prospective applicants can obtain application forms at the Office of Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation of the Department of International Cooperation and ASEAN Affairs, located at Building No. 23, Street 360, Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang I, Khan Boeung Keng Kang, Phnom Penh (approximately 50 meters east of Apsara TV Station). This scholarship provision is in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Education of Cambodia and the Ministry of Education of Laos on the Education Sector for the period 2019-2023, signed on December 5, 2018, as confirmed by the Ministry of Education.
