Phu Quoc Island, a premier resort destination in southern Vietnam, has reported a significant surge in tourism revenue, reaching approximately $1.76 billion (VND45.9 trillion) in the first nine months of this year. This marks a substantial year-on-year increase of 47.7%, surpassing 1% of the annual target. In September alone, the island generated about VND4.2 billion in tourism revenues, a 49% rise compared to the same period last year. Foreign tourist arrivals saw a remarkable 85% increase, reaching 208,447. Over the first nine months of the year, Phu Quoc is estimated to have welcomed 1.92 million foreign tourists, a 60% year-on-year growth and 95% of its annual goal.
