Vietnam Communist Party Announces 12 Key Appointments for Provincial Party Committees

The Politburo and Secretariat of the Communist Party of Viet Nam have announced 12 appointment decisions, primarily focusing on leadership positions within provincial Party committees. These appointments are aimed at ensuring the continuity and stability of the Party's organizational structure. Specifically, the Politburo has appointed Mr. Dinh Huu Thanh, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and Vice Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, as Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the northern province of Quang Ninh for the 2025-2030 tenure. Similarly, Mr. Dang Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Central Commission for Internal Affairs, has been appointed Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the southern province of Ca Mau for the same tenure. Mr. Trinh Manh Linh will serve as Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the central city of Hue, and Mr. Nguye Si Hiep as Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the northern city of Hai Phong. Several individuals have also been appointed to new roles within central commissions. Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the central province of Quang Tri, has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission. Mr. Tran Quan, Director of the State Treasury, will serve as Standing Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of the northern province of Lang Son. In Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, has been appointed Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 tenure. The Secretariat has made further appointments, including Mr. Nguyen The Manh as Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen province, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh for Nghe An province, and Mr. Nguyen Van Thang for Dien Bien province. Additionally, Mr. Nguyen Van Chien and Mr. Bui Hoai Son have been appointed Vice Chairmen of the Central Communication and Education Commission. These appointments reflect the Party's ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership at both central and local levels, ensuring effective governance and policy implementation across the country.
