PRC Releases Results for Electrical Engineer and Master Electrician Licensure Exams

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Monday released the results of the licensure examinations for professional electrical engineers, registered electrical engineers, and master electricians held this month. For the registered electrical engineer licensure examination, 1,676 out of 3,399 examinees passed, yielding a passing rate of approximately 49.3%. The examinations were administered across 17 testing centers nationwide. Dan Joel Monte De Leon from the Palompon Institute of Technology-Palompon and Charles Anthony Saceda Santillan from the Cebu Institute of Technology-University shared the top spot with a score of 94.25%. Notably, the University of the Philippines-Los Baños emerged as the top-performing school, with all 51 of its examinees successfully passing. In the licensure examination for registered master electricians, 715 out of 961 test takers passed, resulting in a passing rate of about 74.4%. Ramon Joshua Silva Carpio achieved the highest score with 90.00%. The Philippine College of Science and Technology-Calasiao was recognized as a top-performing school, with 20 of its 22 examinees passing, achieving a 90.91% pass rate. Additionally, 20 examinees passed the oral examination/technical evaluation for professional electrical engineers, which took place earlier this month in Cagayan de Oro. These examination results are part of the government's efforts to foster the development of skilled professionals in the electrical sector, aiming to produce talent that can contribute to infrastructure development and industrial growth in the Philippines. The availability of qualified engineers is crucial for attracting foreign investment, and the successful examinees are expected to play a vital role in supporting the country's future economic development.
