Husband Arrested for Wife's Murder in Takeo; Incident Occurred Near Phnom Penh
A husband has been arrested in Takeo province, Cambodia, for allegedly stabbing his wife multiple times to death. The incident occurred around 11 AM on July 7th in Tram Kok district. The suspect, who had fled, was apprehended in Prey Veng province, near Phnom Penh. The motive is currently under investigation.
A husband has been arrested in Takeo province, southern Cambodia, on suspicion of murdering his wife. The arrest followed an incident that occurred on July 7th in Udom Soriya village, Tram Kok district. Around 11 AM, the husband allegedly stabbed his wife five times with a knife, causing her death at the scene. The victim has been identified as Nil Chansophia, 50, and the suspect as her husband, Chum Pho, 48. After the incident, the suspect fled on a black Dream C125 motorcycle (2020 model, license plate: Takeo 1V-4858). Under the command of Colonel Sor Seiha, Chief of Police of Poarank District, the Poarank District Police collaborated with the Takeo Provincial Police and police forces across Prey Veng province to search for the suspect. By establishing checkpoints and monitoring all escape routes, the suspect was eventually located and apprehended in Prey Veng province.
