Signal No. 1 Raised in 4 Luzon Areas Due to Tropical Depression Luis
The Philippine weather bureau hoisted Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 in four areas in northern Luzon due to the approaching Tropical Depression Luis, urging residents to remain vigilant.
MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 was hoisted by state meteorologists in four areas on Sunday morning due to Tropical Depression Luis. As of 5 a.m., Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) raised Signal No. 1 over the Polillo Islands, Camarines Norte, the northern portion of Camarines Sur and Catanduanes. Apart from the aforementioned areas, Pagasa also advised residents to be aware of possible strong winds. Tropical Depression Luis is currently moving northwest over the eastern Philippine Sea and may intensify further.
