Vietnam's National Day Celebrated in Bangladesh

Vietnam's National Day was grandly celebrated in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The commemorative event underscored the progress of friendly relations between Vietnam and Bangladesh, as well as Vietnam's remarkable economic development in recent years. At the ceremony, the Vietnamese Ambassador noted that after more than four decades since the "Doi Moi" (Renewal) policy, Vietnam has achieved significant accomplishments. Specifically, it is projected that by 2025, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will reach 514 billion USD, with an economic growth rate of 8.02%, total trade turnover of 930 billion USD, and registered Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) exceeding 38.4 billion USD. This serves as proof of Vietnam's transformation into a dynamic economy. Vietnam's economic growth under its one-party system has been driven by the "Doi Moi" policy, a transition from a centrally planned economy to a market-oriented one. This policy has led to rapid economic development through measures such as promoting foreign investment and reforming state-owned enterprises. However, challenges such as income inequality and environmental issues have also been noted alongside economic growth. The celebration in Bangladesh is part of a series of events marking Vietnam's National Day in various countries. Vietnam is enhancing its presence in regional and international arenas, particularly through a foreign policy that emphasizes economic growth and geopolitical balance. In its relations with China, Vietnam navigates a complex relationship, maintaining economic ties while addressing issues like the South China Sea.
