Svay Rieng Provincial Council Approves Urban Planning, Financial Strategies

On the morning of July 30, 2026, the Svay Rieng Provincial Council convened its 26th ordinary meeting of the 3rd year of the 4th mandate. Presided over by H.E. Men Vibol, Chairman of the Provincial Council, the meeting was attended by H.E. Peng Pousa, Governor of Svay Rieng Province, along with provincial deputy governors, directors and deputy directors of the provincial administration, heads of relevant provincial departments and units, and the five secretariats of the provincial hall. The meeting took place in the Hall of the Ministry of Interior Building, Provincial Hall. The agenda for the meeting was as follows: 1. Review and approval of the draft minutes of the 25th ordinary meeting. 2. Review and approval of the draft report on the implementation of work in July and the direction for August 2026 by the Provincial Administration. 3. Review and approval of the draft plan for land management and urban planning, linked to the province's economic corridors for the period 2025-2035. 4. Review and approval of the draft provincial strategic financial plan for Svay Rieng Province for 2027-2029, and the draft budget plan for revenue and expenditure of the Provincial Hall for 2027. 5. Approval of the distribution table for incentive bonuses derived from administrative service provision to civil servants of the Provincial Hall for June 2026. 6. Listening to the July report and August 2026 work direction from the Provincial Administration's Committee for Consultation on Women and Children's Affairs. 7. Listening to the July report and August 2026 work direction from the Provincial Administration's Procurement Committee. 8. Miscellaneous matters. The meeting's outcomes are expected to provide a solid foundation for Svay Rieng Province's future development strategies, particularly in urban planning and financial management. The land use plan, integrated with economic corridors, will guide the province's economic revitalization and infrastructure development.
