Vietnam-Thailand Relations Deepen with Royal Visit

On the morning of September 15, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung held a meeting with His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand, who is on a state visit to Vietnam with the Queen. This meeting served as a significant opportunity to further develop the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Thailand in a deeper, more substantive, and sustainable manner in the new phase. Both countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in a wide range of fields, including economy, trade, and culture. Furthermore, Vietnam is also advancing discussions with Mongolia on promoting parliamentary cooperation and economic and trade relations. Mongolia regards Vietnam as a traditional and reliable friend, acknowledging its important partner status. Additionally, moves are being made to strengthen the traditional solidarity and friendly relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the French Communist Party. These diplomatic activities demonstrate Vietnam's commitment to deepening cooperation within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) while simultaneously building strategic relationships with countries across Eurasia. Under Vietnam's one-party system, diplomacy is a crucial pillar supporting national stability and economic growth. Especially in light of its complex relationship with China, building diverse partnerships is essential for maximizing national interests.
