Farmer's Son Graduates Top of IPDN, Receives Rank Pin from President Prabowo

At the 2026 graduation ceremony of the Institute of Domestic Governance (IPDN), Mohamad Toriq Anwar, the son of farmers from Banyumas, was honored as one of the top graduates. He was among the three Purna Praja (graduates) who received the prestigious Pamong Praja Muda (young civil servant) rank pin directly from President Prabowo Subianto. Toriq is the second of three siblings, with parents who make a living through farming, duck husbandry, and selling duck eggs. His elder brother works in a nearby wood factory. Driven by a strong desire to improve his family's living standards, Toriq applied for the IPDN Candidate Selection Process (SPCP) in 2022. He explained his choice of IPDN as a "state-funded educational institution" where tuition and living costs are covered by the government. However, Toriq faced financial constraints during the SPCP. The journey from his home in Banyumas to Semarang, the selection venue, posed a significant challenge for his family to cover transportation and administrative expenses. The distance, approximately four to five hours by car, required his family to seek assistance to ensure Toriq could complete all selection stages. Overcoming these obstacles, Toriq successfully passed all selection phases, including administrative selection, Basic Competency Test (SKD), medical examination, psychological test, and physical fitness test. He achieved the first rank in his session for the SKD and ultimately secured the second rank in the provincial-level selection for Central Java. Reflecting on the experience of receiving the rank pin directly from the President, Toriq stated, "I am extremely honored to be one of the three representatives awarded directly by the President. This is a dream come true that I never imagined. Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God)." This moment further solidified his determination to serve the nation as a government official. Toriq concluded, "We are ready to serve. We are ready to provide the best service to this nation to realize Indonesia Emas 2045 (Golden Indonesia 2045)."
