BAGUIO CITY — Saying it “preserves our humanity even during the harshest of circumstances,” Lt. Gen. Michael Logico, the new superintendent of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), told cadets that heeding International Humanitarian Law (IHL) was “non-negotiable” during the Baguio leg of a simultaneous celebration of this year’s “International Humanitarian Law Month” across all military camps and units. Logico stressed that understanding and practicing IHL is crucial for them to fulfill their duties as future military officers. He expects cadets to deeply comprehend the principles of international law, particularly humanitarian law, and apply them in their daily training and future missions.
