Ho Chi Minh City – WestFood, a Vietnamese agricultural processing company, showcased its processed tropical agricultural products, production capacity, and raw material sources at the Viet Nam International Sourcing 2026 exhibition. The exhibition, held from September 3-5 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, provided a platform for WestFood to connect with international buyers, distributors, and partners. WestFood presented a range of processed products derived from Vietnamese vegetables and fruits. These included canned fruits, fruit cups, IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) fruits and vegetables, and dried fruits, along with other products tailored to the specific needs of international clients. The company's offerings meet stringent international standards and certifications such as FDA, IFS, BRC, HALAL, FSSC, and FSMA, and have already found their way to over 40 markets across five continents. The participation in Viet Nam International Sourcing 2026 also served to highlight WestFood's production capabilities, which have been significantly enhanced through recent investments. In September 2025, the WestFood Hau Giang factory commenced operations. Spanning over 7 hectares, the facility represents an investment of VND 666 billion and boasts an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons of finished products. It is equipped with automated production lines and advanced European processing technologies, bolstering the company's supply capacity for both domestic and international markets. Beyond its processing prowess, WestFood is actively developing its raw material sources. This initiative is crucial for ensuring a stable supply chain and maintaining stringent quality control, especially as global markets increasingly emphasize food safety, production standards, and supply chain transparency. The company is cultivating dedicated growing areas for crops such as King MD2 pineapple, papaya, mango, dragon fruit, and lotus seeds, progressively integrating these source regions with its harvesting, processing, and export operations. For WestFood, engaging in such exhibitions is a vital opportunity not only to display its products but also to gain insights into market demands, identify suitable collaboration models, expand its market reach, and continuously refine its product portfolio to cater to diverse customer requirements. This strategic approach aims to deepen its integration into the global supply chain. Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, Chairwoman and CEO of WestFood, commented, "As one of Vietnam's pioneering enterprises in fruit and vegetable processing, especially tropical fruits, we aspire not only to expand export markets but also to build long-term cooperative relationships, jointly creating sustainable value for the company, farmers, and Vietnam's agricultural sector." The Viet Nam International Sourcing 2026 exhibition, co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, attracted around 500 Vietnamese exporting businesses and over 500 international buyer delegations from more than 60 countries and territories. The event operated under a "one-stop, multi-sector" model, focusing on four key areas, including food and beverages, and serves as a crucial trade promotion activity to connect Vietnamese companies with international partners and broaden market access.
