Vietnam Promotes Internationalization of Education, Expanding Welcome for Foreign Students

This is part of Vietnam's broader effort to establish itself as an international education hub. Notably, in the medical field, Vietnamese universities are providing advanced medical education to international students, being chosen as places where they can 'seek out teachers and diligently pursue learning.' This indicates the rising quality of medical education in Vietnam and an improvement in its international reputation. Furthermore, events like the 'Vietnam Summer Camp,' which involve Vietnamese youth and students residing abroad, strengthen collaboration between domestic educational institutions and overseas Vietnamese communities, laying the groundwork for future student recruitment. While addressing contemporary challenges such as the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the search for new standards to measure educational quality, Vietnam's education system is entering a period of transformation. The 2026-2027 academic year is designated as a 'year of transformation' to create substantial changes and breakthroughs in education and training. Under Vietnam's one-party system, educational reforms as a national strategy are closely linked to the long-term goals of economic growth and strengthening international competitiveness.
