Vietnamese Students Secure 4 Silver Medals at International Biology Olympiad 2026

The Vietnamese national team achieved a remarkable feat at the 2026 International Biology Olympiad (IBO), with all four participating students winning silver medals. This accomplishment places Vietnam among the top 8 delegations in the competition. This success continues the trend of Vietnam consistently achieving excellent results in international science competitions in recent years. Vietnamese students have demonstrated outstanding performance in various international contests in the past. For instance, in the 2026 International Chemistry Olympiad, Vietnamese students secured 4 gold medals. At the International Physics Olympiad, they won 4 gold and 1 silver medal. Furthermore, at the Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad, they received multiple medals and certificates. The Asia Physics Olympiad saw them earn 6 silver and 2 bronze medals, while the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad resulted in 6 gold and silver medals. Vietnam also received high recognition at the International Chemistry Olympiad held in Russia.
