Vietnam Raises Penalties for Hindering Journalists to Over 20 Million VND
Vietnam has enacted a new decree raising the minimum fine for obstructing journalists' work to 20 million VND (approx. $800 USD). The move aims to enhance the safety of journalists and professional accountability. Penalties for defamation and destruction of reporting equipment have also been increased.
