Villagers Urge Government to Continue 'Thai Helps Thai Plus' Phase 2, Says Thanathorn

Thanathorn Wangboonkongchana, a list-MP for the Bhumjaithai Party and former Minister of Industry, stated that villagers and merchants in various provinces have responded very positively to the 'Thai Helps Thai Plus' project. He noted that domestic spending has become more vibrant, benefiting both buyers and entrepreneurs, and circulating money within the economy. He highlighted that the 'Thai Helps Thai Plus' project, continuing the success of the 'Kon La Kreung' (Half-Half) scheme initiated under the government of Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha and now under the leadership of Anutin Charnvirakul, has effectively stimulated spending and increased liquidity at the community level. 'Many merchants and people have asked me to convey their thanks to Prime Minister Anutin for pushing the 'Thai Helps Thai Plus' project, which stimulates the economy during a time when purchasing power has not yet fully recovered. This has increased money circulation in the country's economy and tangibly eased the burden of living costs for the people. They are also calling for the government to extend the 'Thai Helps Thai Plus' project further because they see this policy as truly reaching and benefiting the people,' Thanathorn said. He also advised those who criticize the policy, stating, 'Economic stimulation should not be a competition of who gives more, but rather about which government uses its budget more wisely and achieves more tangible results.'
