Vietnam Proposes Modernized Criminal Justice System Under Revised Procedure Code

Vietnam is proposing a revised Criminal Procedure Code aimed at building a modern and efficient criminal justice system. The draft code introduces more progressive procedural rules to enhance adversarial proceedings, tighten oversight of power, and better protect human and citizens' rights. Effective existing provisions will be retained, while outdated regulations will be amended or repealed.
