Bridge damaged by flood in Letmeana can be used again

The Bridge No. (1/6) on the Letmeana-Aintapyu-Ngathinechaung road, which was damaged by erosion due to flooding, has been temporarily bridged with a Bailey bridge and can be used normally again from August 5, according to the Ayeyarwady Region Government. The Bridge No. (1/6), located between milepost 5 and milepost 5 and 1 furlong on the Letmeana-Aintapyu-Ngathinechaung road, was damaged by erosion from the water flow caused by the Ngwun River embankment breach and subsequent flooding in Letmeana Township on August 3. It has been reported that the bridge was repaired in a timely manner by constructing a temporary Bailey bridge under the guidance of the Chief Minister of Ayeyarwady Region, to allow the public to travel smoothly when the water recedes. In Letmeana Township, due to the breach of the Ngwun River embankment and the resulting flood, according to information collected until the evening of August 4, 5 wards in the town, 106 villages, 7,734 houses, 7,858 households, and 32,607 people were affected by the flood, according to the spokesperson of the President's Office, Dr. Khai Khai Soe.
