Tuyen Quang Province Conducts Training on Operational Skills for Local People's Council Deputies

In Tuyen Quing Province, northern Vietnam, a training conference on operational skills for People's Council deputies at all levels in 2026 was held from July 23rd to 24th. The conference was conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation, connecting to 124 locations across the province's communes and wards. The training aims to enhance the knowledge and skills necessary for local deputies to effectively carry out their duties. Under Vietnam's one-party system, People's Councils play a crucial role in the local decision-making process, and the deputies' capacity building is directly linked to regional development. Tuyen Quang Province has been pursuing economic growth and infrastructure development in recent years, necessitating improved efficiency and transparency in local governance. The ability to accurately understand and implement directives from the central government is vital for supporting Vietnam's economic growth. Furthermore, given its proximity to China, revitalizing the regional economy and maintaining stable social order are significant concerns for the central government. This training is designed to support deputies in accurately understanding residents' needs and engaging in more effective activities in policy formulation and execution, aligning with Vietnam's aim of governance centered on its people.
