Ta Trao Village in Siem Reap Celebrates Infrastructure Improvements

Residents in Ta Trao village, Kântrâng commune, Prasat Bâkong district, Siem Reap province, are expressing immense joy over recent developments in their village. The village's dirt roads, which used to flood and become muddy during the rainy season, have been transformed into wide, accessible concrete roads through construction funded by the commune fund. Furthermore, the working group supporting the commune, led by Major General Dr. Ly Sovann, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Logistics and Finance at the Ministry of National Defence and Director of Preah Ket Mealea Hospital, has provided residents with over 400 solar-powered streetlights along the village roads. Mrs. Thai Lot, a resident of Ta Trao village, stated that she and her fellow villagers are extremely happy with the current development. She highlighted the transformation from muddy, flood-prone dirt paths to spacious concrete roads constructed by the commune fund. The addition of bright solar-powered streetlights, sponsored by the working group supporting Kântrâng commune under the leadership of Major General Dr. Ly Sovann, has significantly eased travel for residents. She also believes these lights contribute to deterring or reducing undesirable acts by some malicious individuals. Mrs. Thai Lot added that with clean roads and bright lighting, some villagers have become more interested in exercising for health, such as cycling, walking, and running in groups. This has further enhanced the closeness among residents of Ta Trao village and neighboring communities. She expressed her deepest gratitude to Major General Dr. Ly Sovann and the working group supporting Kântrâng commune for their continuous development efforts. On this occasion, Mr. Lon Ly, the representative of Ta Trao village chief, speaking on behalf of all villagers, expressed happiness with both old and new achievements in their locality. He emphasized the continued need for the current leadership's guidance to maintain political stability, peace, security, social order, and national development in all sectors without wavering. He believes that only with political stability, peace, security, and social order can there be full opportunities for national development.
