4-Story House Fire in Nha Trang Injures Two

A fire broke out in a four-story house in Nha Trang City, central Vietnam, around 12:00 PM on September 2, resulting in two injuries requiring hospitalization. The blaze originated on the second floor of the approximately 100-square-meter house, located in the An Binh Tan urban area, near Ring Road 2 and Binh Tan Bridge. Firefighting and rescue forces from the Khánh Hòa Provincial Police used water cannons to extinguish the fire. Witnesses reported that over three people, including children, were inside the house after finishing lunch. Most were on the first floor and managed to escape quickly. The fire spread rapidly, engulfing the entire building in smoke within minutes. Khánh Hòa Provincial Firefighting and Rescue Police dispatched specialized vehicles and dozens of officers to the scene. The fire was extinguished in about five minutes. The injured individuals were taken to the 115 Khánh Hòa Emergency Center, showing signs of smoke inhalation and burns, and are currently receiving treatment. The fire destroyed much of the property on the second floor, and the entire house was blackened by smoke. The cause is under investigation. Separately, around 9:00 AM, a fire erupted on the third floor of a six-story building, over 120 square meters, on Cach Mang Thang 8 Street in Phuong Nhieu Loc (former District 3), Ho Chi Minh City, about 200 meters from the Dan Chu roundabout. Smoke quickly enveloped the upper floors, trapping a couple and their two young children, aged 1 and 4. The husband attempted to escape through the main entrance on the ground floor but was blocked by smoke and flames. He then led his wife and children to the rooftop to call for help. Four fire trucks, a ladder truck, and 28 officers and firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters controlled the blaze and simultaneously reached the rooftop, safely bringing the entire family down. The fire damaged numerous household items, furniture, and interior furnishings.
