Vice President addresses at the forum in Russia

Vice President U Nyo Saw attended the 11th Eastern Economic Forum, held in Vladivostok, Russian Federation on September 3. During the forum, Russian President Mr. Vladimir Putin, Indonesian President Mr. Prabowo Subianto, Prime Minister of Monoglia Mr. Nyam-Osoryn Uchral, Vice Premier of People’s Republic of China Ding Xuexiang deliver remarks respectively. In his speech, Vice President U Nyo Saw highlighted the vital contribution of the forum in Asia-Pacific regional economic cooperation, investment, innovation and regional integration. Underscoring the mutual understanding and bilateral cooperation between Myanmar and Russia, the Vice President stated the task undertaking upon the recent meeting of two heads of states. He also underlined the digital development measures in Myanmar and pivotal role of digital transformation, AI, Innovation and Modern Infrastructure in economic opportunities creation and public service provision. He pointed out that through participation in ASEAN, the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation, and BIMSTEC, Myanmar has opportunities to enhance regional trade and economic connectivity. He added that international cooperation is accelerated to ensure regional food security, promoting renewable energy and electric power development. The Vice President also elaborated on recent successful official visits of President U Min Aung Hlaing to Russian Federation, India, China, Laos and Belarus and their significant outcomes, assuring the Myanmar’s unwavering will to build a comprehensive developed region in collaboration with regional and friendly nations.
