New Sihanoukville Provincial Hall Nears Completion at 90%, Slated for End of 2026

Construction of the new Sihanoukville Provincial Hall is nearing its final stages, with progress reaching approximately 90% completion. A spokesperson for the provincial administration confirmed that the building is expected to be finished soon. The new hall features a modern Khmer-style design, reflecting its role as an administrative center for Sihanoukville, a coastal province with high potential for investment and tourism. Recently, officials from the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, along with the Governor of Sihanoukville, led a meeting and site inspection to review the progress of the new provincial administrative building. According to the meeting report, the construction of the new Sihanoukville Provincial Hall is slated for completion around the end of 2026. The foundation stone for the building was laid on March 7, 2022, on the site of the old hall. The new structure will have a total area of approximately 44,093 square meters, stand four stories high, and has an estimated construction cost exceeding $3 million. The construction of the new Sihanoukville Provincial Hall aims to improve administrative infrastructure, facilitate the work of civil servants, and respond to the growth of Sihanoukville as a key investment and tourism zone for Cambodia.
