HIV Testing in Oudomxay Detects 12 Positive Cases Among Female Sex Workers

The Department of Treatment and Rehabilitation under the Ministry of Health announced that HIV testing conducted in Oudomxay province has detected 12 positive cases among female sex workers. Following this result, the ministry plans to strengthen measures to prevent the spread of infection. This testing was carried out with the aim of early detection of HIV infection, a public health challenge, and to provide appropriate support to those infected. Individuals who tested positive are expected to be offered professional counseling and access to treatment.
