Indian Billionaire Couple to Host Mega-Wedding in Nha Trang
An Indian billionaire family is set to host a lavish wedding in Nha Trang, Vietnam, in December, expecting around 1,400 guests and an expenditure exceeding 130 billion VND (approx. $5.5 million USD). This event is poised to be one of the largest Indian weddings ever held in Vietnam and is anticipated to boost tourism promotion for Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa among high-end Indian and international clientele.
A mega-wedding, expected to cost over 130 billion VND (approximately $5.5 million USD) and host around 1,400 guests, is scheduled to take place in Nha Trang, Vietnam, from December 9-13. The ceremony will be held on Hon Tre Island, a resort destination in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, by a couple from prominent Indian billionaire families. According to Phan Quang Dai, General Director of Blue Lemon Vietnam Co., Ltd., the event will span four days and require the mobilization of over 600 personnel for service. This is anticipated to be the largest Indian wedding ever organized in Vietnam. The event is a collaborative effort between Blue Lemon Vietnam, a Turkey-based company, and an Indian wedding management firm. The wedding program is designed to immerse guests in Indian culture, featuring traditional ceremonies, banquets, entertainment, and culinary experiences within the resort. A welcoming ceremony for the bride and groom's families will be held at Cam Ranh International Airport. Organizers are promoting the event as a "Destination Wedding," aiming to provide international guests with a resort vacation and local experiences. This initiative is expected to create a significant impression and contribute to promoting Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa as a high-end tourist destination for wealthy individuals from India and other global markets. Thai Thi Le Hang, Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, stated that the provincial tourism sector will coordinate with organizers to review and prepare plans to meet the demands of the Indian delegation, ensuring the wedding proceeds smoothly. This is not the first time ultra-wealthy Indian families have chosen Vietnam for large-scale wedding celebrations. In December 2025, a billionaire family booked an entire resort in Phu Quoc for seven days, hosting over 1,130 guests. Earlier in February 2026, three consecutive billionaire weddings took place in Ha Long. India ranks among the top 10 source markets for tourists to Vietnam, with nearly 340,000 visitors in the first six months of the year. Khanh Hoa considers India a key market in its tourism development strategy. Information Source: VnExpress
