Border Area High School Students Achieve High Pass Rates, Ministry of Education Commends

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has praised students from border provinces of Oddar Meanchey, Preah Vihear, and Banteay Meanchey for achieving high pass rates in the high school diploma examination (Bak Doep). These provinces, which have experienced past conflict, have demonstrated pass rates comparable to other provinces in the country. According to the Ministry's announcement, the pass rates for 2026 were as follows: Oddar Meanchey Province recorded 89.44%, Preah Vihear Province 87.96%, and Banteay Meanchey Province 84.37%. Nationally, the overall pass rate stood at 84.06%, with 125,975 candidates passing out of the total number of examinees. Among the successful candidates, 2,022 achieved Grade A, 8,848 received Grade B, 23,422 earned Grade C, 44,869 received Grade D, and 46,814 obtained Grade E. This achievement highlights the effectiveness of educational institutions in border regions in providing quality education and enabling students to succeed academically, even amidst challenging circumstances. It underscores the progress of Cambodia's education system and the importance of investing in future generations.
