London Financial Centre Mayor Visits Vietnam's Insurance Market

As part of a visit to Vietnam aimed at promoting cooperation between the UK and Vietnam, Dame Susan Langley, Mayor of London's Financial Centre, and a high-level delegation visited and worked at the Prudential Vietnam office. The visit provided an opportunity for representatives of the City of London and Prudential Vietnam to meet and discuss the movements of the financial and insurance markets, the development potential of the Vietnamese market, and cooperation opportunities between the financial business communities of the UK and Vietnam. As an international ambassador for the UK's financial services sector, Mayor Dame Susan Langley leads activities to promote connections between British businesses and international markets. With over 30 years of experience in insurance and financial services, she brings a perspective that combines business practice, international finance, and policy-making. During her program at Prudential Vietnam, Dame Susan Langley engaged in an exchange with the company's Board of Directors and employees. The program created an opportunity for the Prudential team to directly meet and listen to the Mayor's insights, while also discussing the prospects of the financial services industry, the role of the insurance market in the economy, and the shifts shaping the future of the industry in the new context. O’Neill shared Prudential's perspective on the role of capital markets in mobilizing investment resources and supporting long-term economic growth. With nearly three decades of operation in Vietnam, Prudential Vietnam is one of the foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises with a long-standing presence in the financial and insurance sector in the Vietnamese market. Alongside its business activities, Prudential Vietnam actively participates in forums and initiatives to promote financial literacy, sustainable development, and strengthen connections between the UK and Vietnamese business communities.
