Philippine property developer Haus Talk Inc. (HTI) is investing approximately P4.2 billion to develop 'The Canvas,' a 37-hectare integrated economic township in Rizal. The project, featuring over 2,000 residential units and commercial spaces, is expected to be a significant contributor to the company's future revenue.

MANILA, Philippines — Property developer Haus Talk Inc. (HTI) is investing about P4.2 billion to develop one of its largest projects to date, a 37-hectare integrated economic township across Angono and Teresa, Rizal. The project called The Canvas will comprise more than 2,000 residential units, with planned selling prices expected to range from P3.6 million to P6 million per unit. HTI president Maria Rachel Madlambayan said master planning activities for The Canvas are now actively underway, while site clearing and initial construction works have commenced. Given the project’s scale and strategic importance, Madlambayan said development would be undertaken in phases and organized into three distinct residential villages. “This phased approach will enable HTI to efficiently introduce new inventory while maintaining disciplined capital deployment and project management,” she said. Madlambayan said that beyond housing, The Canvas will incorporate commercial areas, mixed-use spaces and community-oriented facilities that would benefit both residents and neighboring communities. The project, with an estimated development cost of about P4.2 billion, is expected to become a significant contributor to HTI’s future inventory and revenue generation. “More importantly, it embodies the company’s vision of elevating affordable housing through the creation of thoughtfully planned communities where families can live, grow and thrive,” Madlambayan said. She said strong demand generated by earlier projects has encouraged the company to accelerate land acquisition activities, planning initiatives, permitting processes and site development programs to ensure a sustainable pipeline of future projects. Madlambayan said HTI also remains well positioned to pursue sustainable long-term growth, supported by a disciplined approach to expansion, a continued focus on affordable and mid-market housing segments and a proven capability to execute projects from planning through turnover. “As HTI moves forward, management remains committed to enhancing profitability, expanding market reach and creating lasting value for shareholders,” she said. Last March, HTI raised P1.8 billion from a bond sale that saw strong demand from investors. Proceeds from the issuance will support its expansion across Luzon, as well as fund land banking initiatives, project development and other general corporate requirements. HTI continues to expand its portfolio of residential communities to deliver affordable housing solutions for Filipino families. The company is focused on developing affordable housing for the socialized, economic or low-cost, and middle-income segments. Its residential developments are a mix of horizontal and vertical projects located in Rizal, Laguna and select cities in Metro Manila.
