Cambodia Promotes Anti-Drug Efforts at Islamic Tourism Forum, Showcasing NoDrug App
Cambodia's National Authority for Combating Drugs and the Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the private sector, conducted awareness campaigns on drug issues at the 2026 Cambodia Islamic Tourism Forum and Exhibition. The NoDrug app was also promoted, encouraging community involvement in drug prevention, including among the Muslim population.
The National Authority for Combating Drugs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and the private sector, participated in raising awareness about drug issues at the "Cambodia Islamic Tourism Forum and Exhibition 2026." The event, themed "A Land Full of Charm and a Trusted Destination for Travel," took place from July 10 to 12, 2026. His Excellency Lao Sovichea, Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the National Authority for Combating Drugs and the Ministry of Tourism, stated that the Ministry of Tourism is committed to combating drug problems to prevent and mitigate risks to the tourism sector, with the approval of His Excellency Thong Hak, Minister of Tourism. His Excellency Lieutenant General Lim Tonghuot, Director of the Department of Dissemination, Education, and Public Relations of the National Authority for Combating Drugs, noted that citizens, particularly the Muslim community, have shown interest and actively participated in anti-drug efforts. This includes engaging with information and using the NoDrug application in Khmer and Islamic languages. He emphasized that drug issues affect everyone regardless of religion or race, promoting harmony and safety within communities. Lieutenant General Lim Tonghuot conveyed the appreciation of His Excellency Dr. Neth Savoeun, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Authority for Combating Drugs, to all participants for their contributions to maintaining a drug-free life and community.
