Sen Sok District Governor Urges Quality Assurance for New 600m Concrete Road Construction in Ou Baek Korm

Construction of a new 600-meter-long concrete road has commenced in Ou Baek Korm village, Sen Sok district, Phnom Penh. The groundbreaking ceremony for the infrastructure development project took place on the morning of Thursday, September 10, 2026, with Sen Sok District Governor Cheng Monira presiding over the event. During his address at the site, Governor Cheng Monira emphasized that infrastructure development should not only focus on providing new roads for citizens but also on ensuring their quality, strength, and long-term usability. He instructed the construction company and technical teams to carry out the work with utmost attention, strictly adhering to technical specifications and established standards. This, he stated, would ensure that the achievements from this 2026 district fund project are of high quality and can serve the public interest for an extended period. Furthermore, the Governor stressed the importance of effective site management, urging attention to safety, minimizing disruptions to residents' lives and travel during construction, and expediting the work to meet the scheduled completion deadline. Alongside his directives to the contractors, Governor Cheng Monira appealed to the local community for their cooperation and understanding regarding any potential inconveniences during the project's implementation. He encouraged residents to actively participate in maintaining the developing infrastructure to ensure its longevity and tangible benefits to the community. The project, located in Trapeang Chhuk village, Ou Baek Korm commune, Sen Sok district, is funded by the district's 2026 fund. The road will be 600 meters long and 5 meters wide, covering a total area of 3,000 square meters. Technically, it will be a non-reinforced concrete road with a 10-centimeter thick M30 aggregate base and a 15-centimeter thick concrete layer. The contract for this project was awarded to Khem Sotharaks Company for a sum of 86,700,000 Riel.
