Vietnamese Farm Produce Expands Presence in Russian Retail Market
Bilateral trade between Vietnam and Russia reached $2.16 billion in January-May, up 6.6%, with both nations aiming for a $10 billion target on the back of their FTA. Cooperation in agricultural products is expected to strengthen.
In January-May, bilateral trade between Vietnam and Russia was around $2.16 billion USD, up 6.6%. The two Governments are aiming for $10 billion in two-way trade on the back of the Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement. Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports have grown strongly in recent years, rising from about $7 billion USD in 2024 to $8.6 billion USD in 2025 and expected to surpass $10 billion USD in 2026. Asia remained the largest export market for Vietnam’s major agro-forestry-aquatic products, accounting for 45.5% of the total.
