Cambodia Distributes 2,854 Land Titles in Banteay Meanchey Province

On the morning of July 24, 2026, a ceremony was held in Ou Chhamb commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, where 2,854 land ownership certificates were distributed to residents. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Dr. Panha Kham Bunthon, Deputy Secretary-General of the Prime Minister's Cabinet, Secretary of State of the Council of Ministers, and Deputy Head of the Royal Government Working Group for Banteay Meanchey Province. The distributed certificates cover four villages within Ou Chhamb commune: Prasat, Prao Chas, Snuol Tret, and Tomnub Dach, totaling 2,854 certificates. In addition, public notices of land adjudication for four villages within Ou Chhamb commune—Banteay Thmey, Tanal Bott, Yeang Dunkum, and Ou Chhamb itself—were posted. These land parcels amount to a total of 3,488 plots. The distribution of land ownership certificates is scheduled to take place over seven days, from July 24 to July 30, 2026. After this period, citizens can continue to receive their certificates at the Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction, and Cadastre of Banteay Meanchey Province during working hours, with no set time limit. Furthermore, the public display of land adjudication documents will last for 15 days, including weekends, from July 24, 2026, to August 7, 2026. Landowners and all concerned parties are urged to review the documents thoroughly and complete the necessary procedures with the expert officials and local authorities. This distribution of land ownership certificates is part of the Cambodian government's efforts to clarify land management and strengthen the protection of citizens' property rights.
