BuCor Warns Public Against Fake Recruitment Websites
The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has issued a warning against fake recruitment websites scamming the public. They urge citizens to conduct transactions only through official channels to prevent fraud and personal data theft.
The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) on Monday warned the public against two fake recruitment websites impersonating the bureau’s official online platform. In a statement, BuCor flagged e-bucor-rms.vercel.app and bucor-recruitment.online, which falsely claim to represent the bureau’s e-recruitment system. BuCor chief Gregorio Catapang Jr. urged the public to conduct all transactions through the bureau’s official website, bucor.gov.ph. “In an age where digital deception grows increasingly sophisticated, vigilance is essential,” Catapang said. He warned that fake recruitment sites could lead to the theft of personal data, financial exploitation and the spread of misinformation. “They undermine trust in legitimate public institutions and exploit hopeful applicants seeking career opportunities,” he said.— MCG, GMA News
