Vietnamese Party Official Visits Embassy in China, Reinforcing Bilateral Ties
Le Minh Tri, a member of the Vietnamese Communist Party's Central Politburo, visited the Vietnamese Embassy in China as part of his official trip. The visit underscored intentions to deepen the strategic cooperative partnership and enhance collaboration in economic and technological fields.
On July 14, Comrade Le Minh Tri, along with a delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam, visited and worked with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in China. This activity was part of a visit to China by a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by Comrade Le Minh Tri, a member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, and Standing Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Corruption, Waste, and Negative Phenomena, at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. During the meeting, Comrade Le Minh Tri informed the attendees about the major orientations of the Party and State, as well as the initial results achieved in developing and implementing the country's major goals in the new era. These include efforts in Party building, building a socialist rule-of-law state, and combating corruption, waste, and negative phenomena. Comrade Le Minh Tri emphasized the need for a shift in perception and a renewal of thinking regarding the fight against corruption, waste, and negative phenomena in the new context. This involves synchronously implementing two objectives: strengthening discipline and order, and achieving sustainable and stable national development, aiming towards building a fair, disciplined, humane, and effective society. On this occasion, Comrade Le Minh Tri highly appreciated the role, responsibility, and contributions of the Vietnamese Embassy in China, and Vietnamese representative missions abroad in general, to the country's overall foreign affairs work. He also acknowledged their contributions to consolidating and deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, and promoting the higher-level building of a strategically significant Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future. Comrade Le Minh Tri expressed his hope that the Embassy would continue to effectively implement the high-level common perceptions and agreements between the two countries. He urged them to leverage their role as a bridge, effectively connecting various channels for exchange and cooperation between agencies, ministries, sectors, businesses, and people of both nations. The aim is to further enhance political trust and promote practical cooperation in areas where China has strengths and Vietnam has needs, such as economy-trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, railways, logistics, science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and high-quality human resource training, thereby serving Vietnam's sustainable socio-economic development in the new phase. Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh expressed his pleasure at Comrade Le Minh Tri's visit, noting it was the first visit to China by a leader of the Party and State immediately following the historic State visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam in April 2026. He stated that this visit holds significant importance in concretizing high-level common perceptions, maintaining regular exchanges between leaders of the two Parties and countries, and strengthening and deepening Party-channel cooperation. Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh also provided a general overview of the situation and the results of the Embassy's work in political diplomacy, promoting practical cooperation with China, Party affairs, community work, and citizen protection.
