MAP Urges Governance Reforms to Boost Investment and Job Creation

THE Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) urged Congress to prioritize governance reforms while pursuing policies that encourage investment and job creation. “Beyond these reforms, what we want to hear is a clear economic agenda that creates jobs, attracts investments, improves food security, lowers the cost of doing business, and restores confidence,” MAP President Donald Patrick L. Lim said in a statement. The group backed measures against political dynasties, party-list reforms and transparency initiatives. It also urged the government to continue infrastructure spending while strengthening oversight of public projects, saying corruption should be punished without delaying legitimate investments needed to support economic growth. — Beatriz Marie D.
