Meanwhile, confluence areas are identified in the waters west to north of Aceh, south of Central Java to west of Bengkulu, the South China Sea, the Sulawesi Sea, and the Halmahera Sea. In western Indonesia, moderate rain is predicted for Palembang and Tanjung Selor. Light rain is possible in Medan, Padang, Tanjung Pinang, Bandar Lampung, Jakarta, Bandung, Palangkaraya, Samarinda, and Banjarmasin. In eastern Indonesia, BMKG predicts moderate rain in Bima and Mamuju, while light rain is expected in Manado and Jayawijaya. BMKG urges the public and local governments to increase their vigilance against the potential for moderate to heavy rainfall, which could disrupt activities and trigger hydrometeorological disasters such as floods, landslides, and puddles in vulnerable areas.
