Bac Ninh City Establishes New Police Department and 12 Ward Police Units

The establishment of the Bac Ninh City Police Department and 12 ward police units has been officially announced in Bac Ninh City, northern Vietnam. The decision was made public at a ceremony presided over by General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, and Minister of Public Security, in Bac Ninh City on September 18. This organizational restructuring is considered to be aimed at streamlining local administrative structures and strengthening the public security system. Under its one-party system, Vietnam strives to balance social stability with economic growth, and the development of administrative and security mechanisms at the local level is a crucial element in solidifying its foundation. Bac Ninh City has been experiencing remarkable economic growth in recent years, actively attracting foreign investment, particularly in the electronics manufacturing sector. To address the social changes and potential security risks associated with such economic development, strengthening the police organization is seen as an urgent task. Furthermore, news also reported that on the same day, President To Lam conveyed the decision to appoint Vietnamese ambassadors abroad, suggesting that alongside diplomatic moves, the development of domestic administrative and security systems is progressing.
