Pre-application for new gold trading licenses required 6 months in advance

Those who have obtained a license for the service business of trading precious metals (gold) are required to apply for a new license renewal 6 months in advance before the expiration date of their license, according to an announcement by the Yangon Region Gold Entrepreneurs Association. Those who wish to continue their service business of trading precious metals (gold) can apply for and obtain a new business license online by using the Myan Gold Application. It has been announced that those who wish to continue their service business of trading precious metals (gold) but do not use the Myan Gold Application must first apply to the relevant initial screening teams as before, and if they receive license approval, they must go to the No. 2 Mining Enterprise in Naypyidaw to collect it. It is reported that when applying for an online usage license related to service businesses for trading precious metals (gold), temporary permission for business registration certificates for the sale of gold and products made from gold bullion is not granted. Furthermore, it is known from the Yangon Region Gold Entrepreneurs Association that they are granting permission for the business of selling finished gemstones and jewelry only after obtaining a written pledge from holders of licenses for selling finished gemstones and jewelry, stating that they will not sell gold. It is also stated that gold shops that have obtained a license for the service business of trading precious metals (gold) are required to submit their gold trading records daily before 12:00 AM if they conduct trading using the Myan Gold Application. The business license screening team is reportedly opening accounts with Gmail addresses of gold shops to enable them to use the Myan Gold Application, returning the usernames and passwords to the respective gold shops, and then contacting the gold shops to form Viber groups and providing training on how to use it via Zoom.
