Thai PM Witnesses Awarding of Special Honor to Indonesian President, Reinforcing Security Cooperation

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul held a joint press conference with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Indonesia. Following the discussions, Prime Minister Anutin witnessed the awarding of a special honor award from the Special Warfare Command of the Royal Thai Army to President Prabowo. This award recognizes the President's role and contributions in promoting security cooperation between Thailand and Indonesia, reflecting the strong ties between the armed forces of both nations. The honor award presented included a red beret, symbolizing special forces, a combat knife signifying combat readiness, courage, and the honor of special warriors, parachute wings indicating completion of airborne training, and a commemorative medal to honor and signify the friendship between the special forces of both countries. Furthermore, the Thai International Counter Terrorism Operations Center presented a shield and wings to commemorate the cooperation in counter-terrorism efforts between Thailand and Indonesia, particularly the "Woyla" operation, which is lauded as a successful hostage rescue mission and a testament to the outstanding professionalism of Indonesia's Kopassus unit. This initiative further strengthens security cooperation and deepens the long-standing friendship between Thailand and the Republic of Indonesia.
