Takéo Province Holds Workshop on Social Security Benefits for Public Sector Employees

A workshop on the benefits of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) was held in Don Kaev City, Takéo Province, Cambodia. The event, organized for public sector employees within Don Kaev City, aimed to enhance understanding of the principles, regulations, and advantages of the social security scheme. It took place on September 18, 2026, at the meeting hall of the Takéo Provincial NSSF Branch. The ceremony was co-chaired by Mr. Kak Channarith, Chief of the Takéo Provincial NSSF Branch, and Mr. Sao Sophal, Deputy Governor of Don Kaev City. Numerous representatives from offices, units, and civil servants under the city administration were in attendance. During the event, Mr. Sao Sophal, Deputy Governor of Don Kaev City, addressed the attendees, urging local authorities from the three communes and other relevant participants to absorb this vital knowledge and information. He emphasized the need to disseminate this understanding to civil servants, teachers, and the general public in their respective areas. This initiative aims to encourage registration for NSSF services, thereby securing healthcare protection and reducing various household expenses. The Deputy Governor further stated that registering for and utilizing the NSSF card is a crucial social protection policy of the Royal Government, designed to ensure income security and improve public well-being. He stressed that local authorities at all levels must act as conduits for information and facilitate access to these fundamental rights and benefits for all citizens in an inclusive and equitable manner. Mr. Kak Channarith, Chief of the Takéo Provincial NSSF Branch, reiterated that the branch is ready and committed to serving all citizens, civil servants, workers, and employees with responsibility and pleasure. He appealed to all stakeholders to collectively promote wider registration into the NSSF. This effort is crucial to ensure that every citizen receives equitable, safe, and highly effective healthcare, medical examination and treatment services, and social security benefits.
